EMR Integration (ModMed)

MySurgeryQuote integrates with ModMed (Modernizing Medicine) for seamless patient data flow.

Setting Up ModMed Integration

1. Go to Admin → EMR Integration
2. Click Connect ModMed
3. Enter your ModMed credentials:
   • Firm Prefix
   • Username
   • API Key
   • API URL
4. Click Test Connection
5. If successful, click Save

What the Integration Does

• Pull patient demographics from ModMed
• Push completed quotes to patient records
• Sync provider information

Data Security

All data transfers are encrypted and HIPAA compliant. Your ModMed credentials are stored securely and never exposed.

Permissions: Only users with Admin roles (ADMIN, ORG_ADMIN, LOCATION_ADMIN) can send quotes to the EMR. Regular users can create and manage quotes but will not see the ModMed/DrChrono buttons. This ensures billing accuracy and prevents accidental duplicate submissions.

Troubleshooting

If connection fails:

• Verify your API credentials with ModMed
• Check that your ModMed account has API access enabled
• Contact support if issues persist
