Fee Settings & Calculations

Facility and anesthesia fees are calculated automatically based on surgical time. This article explains how the calculations work.

Facility Fee Formula

If total time ≤ included hours:
    Facility Fee = Base Fee

If total time > included hours:
    Facility Fee = Base Fee + (Hourly Rate × Extra Hours)
    
Capped at maximum hours

Example Settings

• Base Fee: $2,500
• Hourly Rate: $1,500
• Included Hours: 2
• Max Hours Cap: 8

Example Calculation

For a 4-hour surgery:

• Extra hours = 4 – 2 = 2 hours
• Facility Fee = $2,500 + ($1,500 × 2) = $5,500

Anesthesia Fee

Anesthesia uses the same formula with its own settings.

1. Go to Admin → Fee Settings
2. Set Base Fee, Hourly Rate, Included Hours, and Max Cap
3. Save
