How to Connect DrChrono

This guide walks you through connecting your DrChrono account to MySurgeryQuote using secure OAuth2 authorization.

Before You Begin

You’ll need:

• Admin access to your DrChrono account
• Permission to create API applications in DrChrono

Step 1: Create a DrChrono API Application

1. Log into your DrChrono account
2. Click your profile icon → Account Settings
3. Navigate to API in the left sidebar
4. Click Create New Application (or use an existing one)
5. Configure the application:
   • Name: MySurgeryQuote
   • Redirect URI: Copy this from MySurgeryQuote’s EMR Integration page
6. Save the application
7. Copy your Client ID and Client Secret

Step 2: Enter Credentials in MySurgeryQuote

1. Go to Admin → EMR Integration
2. In the DrChrono section, enter:
   • Client ID – From your DrChrono API application
   • Client Secret – From your DrChrono API application
3. Click Save Credentials

Step 3: Authorize the Connection

1. Click Connect to DrChrono
2. You’ll be redirected to DrChrono’s login page
3. Log in with your DrChrono credentials
4. Review the permissions and click Authorize
5. You’ll be redirected back to MySurgeryQuote

Step 4: Verify the Connection

1. You should see a green “Connected” status
2. Click Test Connection to verify everything is working

Sending Quotes to DrChrono

Once connected:

1. Open any quote
2. Click Send to DrChrono
3. Search for the patient by name
4. Select the patient from the results
5. Click Send to upload the quote PDF to the patient’s documents

Disconnecting DrChrono

If you need to disconnect or reconnect:

1. Go to Admin → EMR Integration
2. Click Disconnect in the DrChrono section
3. Your credentials will be cleared
4. Follow the setup steps again to reconnect
